Typically people think that professional, handmade albums are reserved for wedding images and that engagement photos are just to be shared through Facebook and other social media means. I’m here to suggest otherwise. I talked about wedding albums in a previous post and why I believe print is the best way to view your images. Same goes for engagement sessions. The session is in a relaxed environment where the couples can be themselves without any guests or other distractions to worry about. My goals for an engagement session are for my couple to have fun, to document the two of them being in love, and most importantly I want them to have an amazing time together. I think it’s important to remember these moments, and an album helps out with that. I am one of those weirdos that stalks the UPS guy until he leaves the package at my front door. As soon as I get the email saying my album has shipped I click the tracking number hoping that some magic happened and it’s going to show up in an hour…I know it’s ridiculous, but hey that’s me. If that’s not an indication of how much I love my albums I don’t know what is.
I just received Rachel & Joe’s Engagement album and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. They were such a fun couple to shoot so I was pumped that their engagement book turned out so well. I handcheck every album before it goes out to the client to make sure it is absolutely perfect. I flip through every page and remove the protective piece of parchment that is placed in each spread immediately after printing. I look for color accuracy and correct spacing. And to be honest….I just like checking them out 🙂 I hope you enjoy these few images I took of Rachel and Joe’s album!
Beautiful
