This past Sunday I got to experience my first bridal show at the Monroeville Convention Center. I’m pretty sure that Randy Fenoli went to every booth but ours. I didn’t mind though because Abbey and I had a better time talking to all the soon-to-be brides. Not only did we have a grand time talking to everyone but we had food vendors on either side of us…really good food vendors. We bartered our Dove chocolates for crab cakes with the gourmet chef to our left…oh and then for dessert we turned to our right and got cupcakes from Dozen Bake Shop. If this is what bridal shows are like  I plan on attending one every weekend.

The show itself is very revealing. You put yourself out there completely. You show your body of work face-to-face with potential clients that you are meeting for the first time. It’s a little nerve racking, but for me it was far more exciting. Abbey and I did our absolute best to prepare for the show. We had been working on a display for weeks. We had a long checklist that we went over way to many times before we left…..OCD for sure. We wanted to be sure to set ourselves apart from the other vendors, and in my mind we accomplished that goal. I think it’s very important to put a 100% effort into whatever represents your business. On the day of the show our booth represented the business and I wanted to be sure brides were impressed on what they saw. I’m already excited for the next show in North Hills coming this October. I feel like we learned a lot and am ready to apply that to the next challenge! I’m crossing my fingers that we get placed between some top notch food vendors again 🙂
