I always get excited for engagement sessions. They are much more laid back than a wedding day. We take our time, have a conversation, and don’t worry about being on a schedule. It’s a great time to get to know my clients. I always am able to get a handle of who they are as a couple. It was no different with Megan and Frank. They had me laughing from start to finish. It means a lot to me when a couple can be themselves in front of the camera. It allows me to capture the best images. Images that represent them at their best because they feel comfortable enough to showcase their great personalities. And that’s exactly what Megan and Frank have; two great personalities. We visited Flagstaff hill and Mellon Park for engagement photos. Both were equally great backdrops, but the couple certainly stole the show.
Megan and Frank are their own romantic comedy. Light-hearted and humorous, with a hint of serious romance. The love between them is obvious. You can tell from a distance that these two are head over heels. Anytime I would be adjusting my settings or getting ready for the next shot they smiled and exchanged kisses without my direction. Frank is Megan’s giant Teddy bear. He played offensive line at Pitt so giant is most definitely the proper adjective to use. They both share a love for their university, which just so happens to be mine as well. When they told me they wanted the cathedral of learning in the background of some of their images I was all about it. Thank you Megan and Frank for a great day in the park. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next September. If your guests are anything like you I know it will be an absolute blast!
