This career is so unique in the fact that I get to meet new amazing people all the time. I get to learn about their stories, how they fell in love. I get to capture the best and most intimate moments between them. The moments that are filled with love and compassion. It’s awesome. Segway to Lauren and Shane. Full of love and compassion. Full of awesomeness 🙂 I knew they were all of these things before I ever met them. Lauren and Shane live in South Carolina and were traveling to Pittsburgh to get their boogie on at a friend’s wedding. They were flying in late Friday night (1am) for the wedding on Saturday night. We didn’t want to risk getting bad light in the middle of the day so I asked them if they would be willing to shoot during sunrise. Yes……I asked two people that were flying in on a red eye to wake up 4 hours after traveling and look their best for a full-on engagement shoot. Great idea, right? For once I was right, but only because Lauren and Shane are so amazing. I brought the Sheetz coffee and we all sipped on are fresh brew while getting to know each other better in my car. And that best describes my business in a nutshell. I want to be able to sit in a car, drink coffee, and chat with my clients about anything. I want them to be completely comfortable in front of my camera before I ever pick it up. Lauren & Shane did not disappoint. They were so incredible together. Shane’s goofy personality never failed to place a smile on Lauren’s face. They were both full of boundless energy which is simply amazing if you think about how little sleep they had the night before. I am certainly thankful for it. Somehow we managed to shoot longer than any engagement session I have done before (Shane you are the man, but you kind of owe Lauren for that dirt sandwich you gave her). Thank you for an amazing sunrise and a fun day together. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding on the Gateway Clipper. If our session was any indication it is going to be a showstopper.
