Every week I get to see a day unfold before my camera. I don’t always know all the relationships between the guests but I can see the emotion there. The laughs, the inside jokes, the tears, the guy that drank too much, the dance floor battles, the hugs, and most importantly all the love. It was a pretty special experience to shoot a wedding and know all the characters for once. Meaghan and Steve are good friends and graciously asked me to be their photographer. Knowing everyone at the wedding made me feel I had an advantage. I knew who to follow around, when things might happen, and who would be the first to embarrass themselves (Tom…thank you).
I am a big believer about keeping things simple. Without all the details and distractions you become more focused on what is taking place. A marriage between two people that love each other a great deal. So when Meaghan told me they wanted to have an outdoor ceremony amongst the trees as the leaves turn from shades of green into autumn reds and oranges I was all about it. It was a ceremony that had the most important people in their lives and it was something pretty darn special to witness
Thank you to all my friends who gave me some pretty amazing/embarrassing/downright funny shots. You made it one heck of a wedding to remember. Thank you Meaghan and Steve for trusting me with such a special day. I wish you two all the love and luck in the world (and your pups) in your new life together.
