I think it is a common belief that if a photographer has already shot at a location that he/she will be better equipped to do a superior job there. I can’t tell you how much I disagree with that. I got into this business to do something different every day. To connect with new couples, to shoot at different locations, to try different techniques. To me, a new location inspires me to look differently at my session and gets me really excited as a photographer. So when Stephanie and Brett asked me to come down to DC to shoot at Bon Air Park that they frequently visit I did a little happy dance. Then I showed up and met Steph and Brett for the first time and got even more ecstatic because these two are just so darn nice. Can’t wait to head back down next year for their wedding!
