I don’t think I’ve ever laughed or smiled so much as I did covering Jenn and Scott’s special day last weekend. Anyone who has ever met Jenn knows what I’m talking about; She has the warmest, most outgoing personality and a smile that makes everyone in the room want to smile just as big, and Scott was no exception. He lit up when he saw her walking down the aisle to make their marriage official and that look never left his face the rest of the night. I love shooting weddings, but I especially love them when the couple is as genuine and kind as these two love birds.
There was an abundance of sincere love on June 1rst. Love between Jenn and Scott, between their families, and amongst friends. It was clear to me that family is everything for this couple, and that they count their friends as part of that category as well. There was no division between family and friends, and even the ceremony was a blend of Catholic and Philippine traditions. Every guest there, whether they were a sponsor, friend, or family member, was an important piece of Jenn and Scott’s life and was received as such by the couple.
I can’t mention the abundance of love without also noting the abundance of fun. The Butler Country Club made for a beautiful venue, but it was the dance floor that stole the show. I have literally never seen a rendition of “Gangham Style” that was as well performed as Jenn’s brother, Miko, and guests at the reception, and yes that includes the original music video. Oh, and did I mention that the kids at this reception should be professional dancers? They were killing it on the dance floor to basically every song, and I’ll admit I was a little bit jealous of their moves……because I have none at all. Awesome night and awesome people. *high five*
