It’s already here. That sure was quick.
Abbey and I are off to Europe today for an adventure. Similar to Bilbo in The Hobbit except that we plan on wearing shoes. Our main focus will be an engagement shoot with our now anonymous couple. All other time will be spent exploring, dining, laughing, walking in the rain in Paris (hopefully), getting rowdy with local soccer fans, and soaking up every ounce of culture we can. Okay, a lot of time will also most likely be spent feeding Abbey’s borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter and exploring all elements of the wizarding world…I mean England. Either way, my goal is to have a post up every other day so that anyone that wants to be part of our adventure can via the blog. Don’t worry- the “anonymous couple” will soon be revealed in future blog posts along with other characters we happen to run across in our travels.
Apart from being anxious to hop across the pond I am really looking forward to bringing my camera. I know that they may seem a little obvious coming from a photographer, but I would like to think I am much better at the craft then the last time I was in Europe. I felt like I left a lot of images over there last time. A lively cafe on the streets of Paris, a sagely looking man selling fresh fruit on the side of the rode, kids playing soccer in the street. Europe is a living, breathing canvas in my mind. Everything presents itself as a photographic opportunity, and I plan on making the best of it. Maybe I will even get a fancy new desktop picture while I’m over there 🙂
