I knew from our engagement shoot last February that Madison and Jay’s wedding day would be something special, but it really blew me away. Becoming friends with this couple wasn’t even a choice; it just happened naturally that first meeting (and after a few shared beers), and I am so glad it did. It helped that Madison is about the sweetest, most down to earth person in the world and Jay is just so darn charming.
It’s safe to say that Jay and I’s conversations weren’t always 100% wedding related leading up to the big day, but cultivating this relationship made all the difference when it came time for photos. I love it when a couple really trusts me as the photographer to capture their day as it happens. Madison was just as much of a sweetheart as a bride as she was freezing her butt of in the strip district, and Jay was…Jay. They are absolutely perfect together, and it made my job easy. It was clear from the genuine happiness of the guests at their wedding that Madison and Jay have the same effect on most people they come across in life as they did on me. I’m truly honored to have been a part of it, and I know that we will always be friends. Here is a little preview of their wedding at the Fairmont Pittsburgh.
