Amanda and Colin stretched their special day across the Pittsburgh cityscape. Amanda and her girls relaxed and sipped mimosas before the nuptials at the Morning Glory Inn in the Southside, the ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church on top of Mt. Washington, and friends and family celebrated this amazing couple at Bella Sera in Canonsburg.
When I say celebrate, I mean cel-e-brate. I have been to my fair share of weddings and have seen some incredible things, but I’m almost positive that Amanda and Colin had the most dancing of any reception I have ever shot. The couple set the tone by enjoying themselves throughout the day, and their guests followed suit. There were few moments during the night when Amanda was not showing off her moves on the dance floor, and Colin had some moves of his own., but there was one person who is especially worth mentioning and he goes by the name “Rubberband Man.” While his true identity remains a mystery, this guy was a one-man show with a range of signature moves from splits to carting a chair around the room while dancing … for 15 minutes … by himself. It was terrific and made my job behind the camera quite fun.
Its easy to get caught up in the stress and chaos that can accompany a wedding day, but I love it when couples take the time to enjoy every moment together. Amanda and Colin were definitely one of those couples and I could not be happier for them.
