First off, any couple looking for inspiration and ideas on how to dress for their engagement session, or pretty much any other occasion, came to the right place. Lisa and Steven had some pretty rad outfits for a shoot. You can never, ever go wrong with a bow tie…….ever. I’m hoping Steven will shoot me some tips on how to tie it because I can’t seem to figure it out despite several YouTube videos and many failed attempts in front of the mirror. Aside from the outfit selections, this couple picked a great location. Chagrin Falls, OH is a quaint little town that could rival Pleasantville. It had horse drawn carriage rides, ice cream shops on every corner, and people walking dogs up and down Main Street. It also happens to be surrounded by waterfalls, which makes for a pretty grand setting for an engagement shoot.
Lisa and Steven were shy at first, as are a lot of couples in front of the camera for the first time, but they really opened up by the end and even suggested climbing into a tree that branched out over a pond (my favorite shot of the night). I am so thankful they were willing to be adventurous and risk falling into some serious muck to get some awesome frames. I loved venturing outside of Pittsburgh to spend the evening in Ohio with a really sweet couple. I’m bummed I am already booked for their wedding date, because after meeting these two I know it will be nothing short of wonderful. Congrats you two!
