I am so excited to share Katie and Matt’s wedding story and am incredibly honored I was able to capture this amazing couple’s special day. Katie is one of the sweetest, most caring people I have ever met. She makes everyone around her feel comfortable and loves her family and friends to the brim. Matt is the epitome of a gentleman; he goes out of his way to put others in front of himself and would do anything in the world to make Katie happy. Oh, and they both are fun and adventurous. It came as no surprise that their wedding was a reflection of their personalities –personal, fun, and full of love.
Their ceremony was intimate and touching. From seeing Matt’s face of pure happiness and admiration as Katie walked down the aisle to the personalized sermon by the pastor full of anecdotes and praise for the couple, there was no shortage of smiles, laughs, and tears. The amount of love in the church was overflowing and it was clear that Katie and Matt touched the lives of each and every person in the room whether they knew it or not (Abbey and I are definitely included in that list).
From the beginning of the day, their day, Matt and Katie ensured everyone in the room was comfortable and having fun. Their reception at the Butler Country Club was no exception; from start to finish family and friends intertwined to have a good time celebrating the newlyweds. Beyond that, Katie and Matt wanted to make sure their guests’ fun did not stop after dinner and hosted an after party at the pool, complete with late night snacks, beverages, and live music.
Throughout it all, the emphasis was family–The families that they were born into, the families that they were marrying into, and the friends that they love and care for so much that they became another kind of family altogether.
